Critical Masa is crashing the 2026 L.A. Marathon! Ride with us on Sunday, March 8, as we join riders from all over the city for this once a year ride. 🚨 Experienced Riders Only 🚨 Riders participating in the crash ride should be comfortable riding long distances, navigating traffic, riding at night, and adapting as necessary due to the unpredictability of the route and road conditions.

Join us for a nice Critical Masa ride. This time we ride to our friends and neighbors over at Chinatown for the @dsnightmarket celebrating the Lunar Year 🌕 A short 10-14 mile round trip ride. Nothing crazy! But if crazy is what you’re looking for, March 8th Critical Masa is crashing the marathon (yearly marathon crash ride following the marathon route first hours of the day-1am/2am) more info on this crash ride soon… For February bring your ganas, good vibes, helmet, lights, and ofc a reliable bicycle.

First ride of the year and we already set the tone. KOREATOWN to UCLA and all the way back — miles on miles, no one left behind. Last night’s turnout was incredible. Our first ride of the year set the tone — pure energy, pure community. We pushed all the way to @ucla, took on those hills together, and came out stronger. We’re rolling a route we haven’t touched in over a decade, straight out of the glory‑day archives. And this time, we’re taking you through areas that tourists literally pay to see — but we get to experience them together, on bikes, as a community, surrounded by thousands of participants moving as one.

SIX. MORE. DAYS. LA… the countdown is officially in motion. The first Critical Mass of 2026 is almost here — and this ride isn’t just important. It’s the spark that shapes every ride for the rest of the year. 2026 rolls out brand‑new routes, fresh destinations, and never‑before‑ridden historical landmarks across the city. This year isn’t just a reset — it’s a full rediscovery of LA.

First and foremost, thank you to @306cycling for showing up strong this morning. Your consistency, your heart, and your loyalty to LA Critical Mass and to this morning protest meant everything. You didn’t just ride — you stood in solidarity, you laid your bodies on the ground, and you helped carry the weight of the moment. We were proud to stand with Streets Are For Everyone (SAFE) and Damian Kevitt, who led today’s protest with courage and unwavering commitment.

At this morning’s protest, Lisa and an LA Times reporter paused for a quick photo between their separate interviews. The reporter spoke with Lisa and Jojo about why LA Critical Mass stood with SAFE today—showing up in solidarity at their protest to demand safer streets, honor victims of traffic violence, and call for real accountability from city leaders.

This morning brought a moment of real hope. @aida4la Aida Ashouri, LA’s future City Attorney, spoke with President Lisa Lundie about what it means to build a city where cyclists are seen, valued, and protected. Her commitment to safer streets and real bike infrastructure is the kind of leadership our communities deserve. She also rides the largest community bicycle ride in the USA!

We are Los Angeles Critical Mass, the largest community bicycle ride in the USA. The last ride of 2025 was phenomenal! Just as the event began, the rain ceased, allowing the enthusiastic masses of participants to take to the streets. We rode through the festive streets of Los Angeles, including Miracle Mile, Beverly Grove, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and Hollywood.

Last night, we truly covered some impressive ground! There were elevations to conquer, challenges to face, and our endurance was put to the test. We’ve had numerous discussions regarding the route for this month's ride, and we’re excited to announce that this month’s ride route will be passing through the San Fernando Valley!
