The forecast looks good this week. No high winds, no life threatening ice storms. Just calm, cool weather - perfect for a bike ride. Lazy Sunday rides every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the Month. In addition to showcasing Charlotte's bike infrastructure and cool things to see around town, we put this ride on to give people an on-ramp to group rides. 7th Street Market - 3pm.

I'm going to drop the "we" label for this one. I try to keep this account focused on bikes and Charlotte. But what happened in Minneapolis - this man being shot nine times, when he was on the ground, after ICE agents had taken his gun - crosses a line that none of us can ignore or excuse. He was a cyclist as well and bicycle clubs and events across the United States are riding in solidarity with him this week.

Just as a reminder - we are riding this Friday! Expect colder temperatures, but remember, for the most part there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. Gloves and lights are a must, and it goes without saying to bring a coat and clothing with good insulation. Let's get out there! Friday, First Ward Park, 7pm.
